ART: we will not leave you in trouble

Focus: people from Europe and Central Asia

Problem and task

The ITPCru Treatment Preparedness Coalition, together with Life4me +, is helping people living with HIV from the EECA region and other countries of the world who are forced to stay abroad due to interrupted intercountry transport linkages. The problem is that for successful treatment of HIV, these medications must be taken daily. It is not always possible to purchase ARVs in a pharmacy, and even if possible, a doctor’s prescription is needed.

Solution

The point is a simply one: a person contacts ITPCru and / or Life4me +, and the team through their contacts helps to find ARV medication.

Results

According to the latest data, our organizations got about 140 messages (for now their number has increased by about two and a half). Most people received vital medications; for the other, is being worked on.
